Alan's life journey is a captivating blend of creativity, intellect, and physical prowess, making him an inspiring figure in every sense.

As Alain transitioned out of his teenage years, he developed a fascination with the muscular build of ancient Greek athletes and Spartans.

This fascination dovetailed seamlessly with his passion for reading, particularly about historical figures.

Taking his mother’s advice to heart, Alain devoured approximately three books a week, immersing himself in biographies of historical titans such as Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, Cleopatra, and the French Kings Louis XIV, XV, and XVI. This literary voracity not only broadened his historical knowledge but also honed his writing skills and fueled his academic pursuits.

When he was young, mobile libraries in the form of buses frequented Alain's neighborhood, fostering his burgeoning love for literature.

Alain’s passion for history and physical fitness ignited in his youth, fueled by these mobile libraries that brought the world of books to his fingertips. This early fascination led him to a lifelong love affair with knowledge and personal growth.

Alain’s academic pursuits took him to the realms of sociology and sports, where he sculpted a physique reminiscent of ancient warriors. Alain channels his multifaceted identity, blending history, culture, and physical form into his creations.

But Alain’s story doesn’t end there. He is a modern Renaissance man who embodies the perfect blend of intellectual curiosity, artistic talent, and physical prowess. His journey is a testament to relentless passion, continuous learning, and the pursuit of excellence in every endeavor.

Art

Alan Maymo's artistic adventure began with a simple gift—a box of oil paints from a friend. This gesture sparked his fascination with painting, leading him to explore various media such as canvas, wood, and river stones. His creativity knew no bounds, and he delved deeper into the world of art.

After extensive study, Alan opened his own workshop school in Strasbourg, where he nurtured budding artists and honed his own skills. His move to the Swiss border marked a significant phase as he collaborated with abstract artist Werner Paulick, expanding his artistic horizons.

Alan's artistic evolution is marked by diverse influences, from classical realism to surrealism inspired by Salvador Dalí and even wood sculpture. Despite a period where other pursuits took precedence, his passion for art was reignited in 2013. This resurgence led to the development of his unique style, now celebrated as Alan Maymó Art. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of art and the relentless pursuit of creative expression.

Writing

Alan Maymo's writing career took flight in the 90s, born from a period of loneliness and melancholy during his wife’s absence. In these moments, he found solace in poetry, pouring his emotions into verses written in his native French. His friends' encouragement and the recognition he received from the Society of French Poets motivated him to share his work with a wider audience.

As his confidence grew, Alan expanded his literary pursuits to include philosophical writings and storytelling. This creative journey culminated in the novel "The Cave of the Wise Man," a testament to his evolving voice as a writer. In 2017, a renewed dedication to his craft led to further publications, including an ambitious project to create a hand-written and illustrated codex.

Alan's journey through words reflects his deep passion for literature and his relentless pursuit of self-expression and intellectual exploration.

The art of Self Defense

Alan Maymo's martial arts journey began during his university days with Judo. However, it was a decade later, prompted by his job as a security guard, that he truly delved into the world of martial arts. His training included kickboxing, savate, and Thai Boxing under renowned instructors, broadening his skills with full contact and traditional Ju Jitsu.

In Barcelona, Alan's passion and expertise led him to co-found the Catalan Association of Combat Sambo. It was here that he developed his own self-defense style, Jusamkibo, which he taught for many years. Alan's extensive training and teaching experience highlight his unwavering commitment to martial arts and the discipline that defines his approach to life. His journey is a testament to the power of dedication and the pursuit of excellence in physical and mental training.
